How to install a speed reducer

1. Before installation, make sure that the appearance of the motor and reducer are in good condition, and check whether the size of the parts connected to the motor and reducer match, such as the positioning tab of the motor, the input shaft and the recess of the reducer.

2. Turn down the screws outside the flange of the gearbox, adjust the PCS system to align the tightening ring with the dust port and insert the hexagon socket.

3. Connect the motor to the gearbox naturally. When connected, ensure that the output shaft of the reducer and the motor input shaft are of the same concentricity and that the outer flange of the two is parallel. If the concentricity is not consistent, it will lead to the motor shaft breaking or the gears of the reducer wearing out.

In addition, during installation, it is strictly forbidden to hit with hammers etc. to prevent excessive axial or radial forces from damaging the bearings or gears. Be sure to tighten the mounting bolts before tightening the tightening bolts. Before installation, wipe the motor input shaft, positioning boss and reducer connection parts with anti-rust oil using gasoline or sodium zinc water. The purpose of this is to ensure a tight connection and flexibility of operation and to prevent unnecessary wear and tear.

Before connecting the motor to the gearbox, the keyway of the motor shaft should be set perpendicular to the tightening bolt. To ensure even force, screw on the mounting bolts in any diagonal position first, but do not tighten them, then screw on the other two mounting bolts in diagonal positions and tighten the four mounting bolts one by one. Turn the tightening bolts. All tightening bolts are to be fixed and checked with the torque plate hand in accordance with the torque data indicated.
