Gear reducer use and maintenance

The machine should be cleaned before use for the mounting shaft. And check whether the installation shaft has bruises, dirt, if there should be all clean.

I. Precautions before installation:
  1. The machine should be cleaned before use for the mounting shaft. And check whether the installation shaft has bruises, dirt, if there should be all clean.
  2. The operating temperature of the reducer is 0～40 ℃.
  3. Check whether the fit size of the hole (or shaft) connected with the reducer meets the requirements, the tolerance of the hole should be H7 (the tolerance of the shaft is H6).
  4. The blockage at the high position should be replaced with the exhaust plug before use to ensure that the reducer discharges the gas in the body when running.
II. Installation of the speed reducer
  1. The reducer should only be mounted on a flat, vibration-damping, torsion-resistant support structure.
  2. Under no circumstances is it permitted to hammer the pulley, coupling, pinion or sprocket onto the output shaft, as this will damage the bearings and shaft.
 III. Use and maintenance
  1. After installation of the reducer, check if it is flexible. For official use, please carry out no-load test, and under the condition of normal operation, run under gradual loading.
  2. It is strictly forbidden to use the reducer over the rated load.
  3. The reducer should be checked for normal oil level before use and during work. The machine has been filled with lubricant before leaving the factory, name of lubricant: medium load industrial gear oil GB5903-86220.

IV. Oil change system:
The oil should be replaced after 300-400 hours of operation, and every 1500-2000 hours thereafter. In a harsh working environment, high temperature, dusty workplace should be every half a month to check the lubricant, found that the lubricant has dirt that replacement of lubricant, in order to keep the lubricant clean, extend the service life of the reducer, improve economic efficiency.

V. Oil replacement
Oil change should wait until the reducer cools down without the danger of burning, but still should be kept warm, because after complete cooling, the viscosity of the oil is large and it is difficult to put oil. (Note: to cut off the power supply of the transmission to prevent unintentional energization!)
