FAQs

Q

Use and maintenance

A

The maintenance and servicing intervals of the speed reducer are mainly determined by the following working conditions

Q

Grease lubrication

A

The part of the reducer produced by our company which is grease lubricated, except for the double sealed bearing, has a straight through pressurised oil cup structure, and the part used in the factory is extreme pressure lithium grease No. 3. When lubricating this part, a grease gun is used to inject the lubrication point through the grease cup. Note: When replacing grease, do not mix greases with different soap bases.

Q

Oil seal replacement

A

Use tools to remove the oil seal from the gearbox. Attention! In the process of removing the oil seal, the tool must not be inserted in a biased direction or too deep to avoid damage to the shaft diameter, bearing and the case. Apply grease evenly on the case or on the flange where the oil seal is fitted, and on the inner and outer edges of the oil seal. Use the assembly jig to fit the oil seal into the box.

Q

High temperature in the bearing position

A

Cause: Oil level of the reducer is too low; the lubricant has been used for too long; the bearing is damaged. Corrective measures: check the oil level; check the quality of the lubricant; please contact us and replace the bearings if necessary.

Q

High operating temperature

A

Causes: high oil level in the gearbox; too long use of lubricant; too many magazines in the lubricant; too much dust on the surface of the motor fan cover or gearbox; backstop rotation failure or jamming. Corrective measures: check the oil level; check the quality of the lubricating oil; change the oil; clean the dust on the motor fan cover or reducer; contact our company and replace the backstop if necessary.

Q

Oil leak from the vent plug

A

Cause: High oil level in the gearbox; frequent cold starts. Corrective action: Check oil level.

Q

The input part is running, but the output part is not running

A

Cause: Damage to flat keys, detachment of retaining rings for holes or shafts; damage to transmission parts such as gears. Corrective measures: Please contact our company.
